How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School

    Location: Littlehampton
    Contract: 08:30-15:30 | Monday-Friday | Term-Time Only

    Salary: £80 - £93 a day
    Start Date: ASAP

    Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs in a specialist setting?

    We are seeking a dedicated, patient, and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a caring and supportive mainstream primary school. In this role, you will work closely with pupils across the school who have a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, helping them to access learning and thrive within the classroom environment.

    About the Role

    As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

    * Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual EHCP targets

    * Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour strategies

    * Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised learning

    * Assist with sensory activities and structured interventions

    * Promote independence, confidence, and life skills

    * Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times

    * Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and structured environment

    We Are Looking For Someone Who:

    * Has experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential)

    * Is calm, patient, and emotionally resilient

    * Understands the importance of consistent boundaries and positive behaviour support

    * Has strong teamwork and communication skills

    * Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

    * Holds a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
