We are a busy Plumbing and Heating company based in Islington, providing a reliable emergency callout service to the private sector. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Self-Employed Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our dynamic team.
We are looking for a qualified Gas Engineer who not only delivers high-quality work but can also identify additional repair or upgrade opportunities while on-site.
The ideal candidate will be confident in advising customers on the best solutions for their property, ensuring safety, efficiency, and long-term value.
A strong level of commercial awareness and the ability to maximise the value of each job through excellent customer communication is essential.
The Role
You will attend a variety of jobs across N7 and surrounding areas, including:
Emergency breakdowns and repairs
Gas safety checks (CP12s)
Boiler servicing
Boiler installations
General plumbing repairs
Our office team will manage your diary, ensuring a consistent and fully booked schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve plumbing and heating issues efficiently
Carry out gas safety inspections, servicing, and installations to a high standard
Complete all relevant paperwork and reports
Deliver excellent customer service
Liaise with the office team
About You
Minimum 5 years’ experience in plumbing and heating
Gas Safe Registered
NVQ Level 2/3 in Domestic Plumbing and Heating
City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
Full, clean UK driving licence
DBS clearance
Strong communication skills
Reliable, professional, and well-presented
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Able to work efficiently under pressure
Ideally based within a 5-mile radius of Islington
