Tradewind Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded specialist school in Barnet, and we are currently recruiting full-time Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team after May half term.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs, including autism and complex learning needs, in a supportive and well-resourced environment.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students aged 11-19 with a range of additional needs
Work closely with class teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support
Assist with both academic learning and life skills development
Help manage behaviour positively and proactively
Build strong, trusting relationships with students to support their progress and wellbeingThe Ideal Candidate
We are looking for individuals who are:
Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND
Patient, empathetic, and resilient
Strong communicators who can adapt their approach to meet individual needs
Team players who are happy to collaborate with a multidisciplinary staff team
Experienced in schools, care, or support work (desirable but not essential)Whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to build a career in education, training and ongoing support will be provided.
