How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Manager

    A fantastic, long term opportunity has come in today!

    A Project Manager requirement for a Tier 1 Main Contractor in Cambridgeshire.

    About:

    The role is to lead the fit out of a large government scheme across 3 buildings, all from the first fix through to the handover which is in the Autumn of 2027.

    You will be leading a team of 3 Senior Site Managers, each will be looking after a block individually. Upstream there is an on-site is a Senior Project Manager who you will be reporting to however they are expecting someone to be totally autonomous.

    Responsibilities:

    Oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites.
    Enforce health & safety protocols, manage risks, and address any issues promptly.
    Coordinate with various stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, to keep the project on track.
    Maintain quality standards by monitoring workmanship, materials, and adherence to specifications.
    When challenges arise, you will find solutions to keep the project moving forward.
    Effectively communicate by liaising with team members, report progress, and address concerns.

    Requirements:

    Proven experience delivering large-scale projects from an internals perspective.
    Strong track record managing managers, contractors, programme, and budget
    Confident, hands-on site-based PMs
    Familiarity with MS Project or similar
    Government building experience beneficial but not essential
    SMSTS, Black Card/NVQ Level 6 certs
