We are working with a leading regional main contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team based in Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering main contracting projects valued from £10 million and above, across a diverse portfolio including education, healthcare, commercial, and public sector schemes, all located within the Wolverhampton and North Midlands region.

The Role
As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of major construction projects from inception through to completion. You will ensure all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards across the Wolverhampton and North Midlands area.
Key responsibilities include:
* Full project lifecycle management of main contracting schemes valued £10m+
* Planning, coordination, and delivery of complex construction projects
* Management of programme, cost control, and quality assurance
* Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures
* Leading and coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Managing client, consultant, and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle
* Chairing progress meetings, design team meetings, and pre-start meetings
* Monitoring project performance and driving corrective actions where required
* Working closely with commercial teams to support financial and contractual performance
* Promoting best practice, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all project stages
About You
* Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager within a main contracting environment
* Experience delivering projects valued at £10m+
* Strong technical understanding of construction methods and project delivery
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge
* SMSTS, CSCS and relevant construction qualification (desirable)
* Organised, proactive, and solutions-driven approach
