How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Land Buyer

    Overview
    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Land Buyer to join a well-established and growing construction business. This role is open to both entry-level candidates looking to start their career in land acquisition, as well as experienced professionals seeking their next challenge.

    Working as part of a skilled, driven, and settled team, you will play a key role in identifying and securing land opportunities for a diverse range of projects.

    The Role
    You will be responsible for supporting and managing the land acquisition process, from initial identification through to negotiation and completion. This is a varied role offering exposure to multiple project types and the opportunity to develop strong industry knowledge.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Identify and assess potential land opportunities

    * Conduct site appraisals, feasibility studies, and market research

    * Liaise with landowners, agents, and other key stakeholders

    * Support negotiations for land purchases and agreements

    * Assist with planning applications and development processes

    * Work closely with internal teams including technical, commercial, and planning

    * Maintain accurate records and reports on land opportunities

    * Interest in or experience within land buying, property, or construction

    * Commercially aware with strong analytical skills

    * Confident communicator with good negotiation skills
