How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Junior Buyer – Stamford (12 Month FTC)

    Anne Corder Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly regarded and growing organisation to recruit a Junior Buyer to join their procurement team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Buyer at the early stages of their career to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced, manufacturing-led environment, with exposure to both operational purchasing and supplier management.

    The Role

    As a Junior Buyer, you will support the procurement function in sourcing and purchasing a wide range of indirect goods and services, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the business.

    This Junior Buyer role offers real variety, working closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure efficiency, cost control, and strong supplier performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    Raising and managing purchase orders within the procurement system

    Converting purchase requisitions into accurate and timely orders

    Monitoring order progress, deliveries, and invoice matching

    Expediting orders and supporting the wider procurement team

    Maintaining supplier records and pricing agreements

    Supporting contract management and supplier performance tracking

    Analysing spend data and identifying cost-saving opportunities

    Liaising with internal departments to understand purchasing needs

    About You

    To be successful in this Junior Buyer role, you will:

    Have 0–2 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, or a similar administrative role

    Be highly organised with strong attention to detail

    Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

    Be confident working with data and systems (ERP/MRP experience desirable)

    Be proactive, adaptable, and keen to develop within procurement
