Training Officer

Job Summary

The Training Officer is responsible for developing and delivering high quality training to the
Company employees.

Basic Job Duties

1. To deliver the staff induction programme to all new starters.
2. To deliver, assess NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in health & social care to all staff.
3. To support L&D manager for scheduling instructor led sessions of RQF qualifications, assessment, planning, practical evaluations and completion within recommended timelines.
4. To work closely with enrolled staff members for RQF based qualification while supporting and mentoring them for their understanding and completion.
5. To liaise with Internal and External Quality Assurance for assignment feedback and suggest improvements for timely completion.
6. To deliver other mandatory training to all staff.
7. To design and deliver any other training as required by the company and in liaison with the Management Team.
8. To coach and provide guidance to the management team on how to deliver good quality training
through updates from regulatory bodies (e.g., CQC, NICE Guidelines, Councils & Boroughs).
9. To report on the status of all matters relating to training.
10. To successfully achieve the individual objectives set by the company.
11. To attend and actively participate in any management reviews and meetings.

Previous experience

Essential

1. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
2. Strong administration skills.
3. Competence in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly power point, Excel and Internet
applications.
4. Full driving licence and use of own car to visit company homes essential.
Desirable
5. Must have experience working in Health & Social Care.
6. Ideally at least 2 years’ experience in the design and delivering of training to staff.
7. A training qualification (PTTLS) or equivalent qualification is desirable.
8. Some experience in training delivery within the social services sector and conversant with the 15 care certificate standards.
9. Must have Level 3 RQF (NVQ or equivalent qualification) in health and social care. Level 5 or higher qualification in health and social care would be preferred.

Education

A Training qualification is desirable.
