How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Accommodation Team Leader - Domestic Abuse
    Chester

    An exciting opportunity to join a leading charity delivering life-changing domestic abuse and homelessness support services, leading a trauma-informed accommodation team across Cheshire West and Chester. Please note: this is a female-only position (exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1) due to the nature of the service supporting women affected by domestic abuse. THE ROLE
    You will lead and coordinate a Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation service, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed support is delivered to individuals and families while driving service performance and partnership working.
    Lead the day-to-day delivery of safe accommodation and outreach services
    Manage, supervise, and develop a team of support staff and volunteers
    Oversee referrals, allocations, and 24/7 service access including on-call rota
    Ensure effective multi-agency working including MARAC and local partnerships
    Monitor service performance, outcomes, and produce detailed monthly reports
    Manage risk, safeguarding concerns, and complex casework
    Support service development, innovation, and continuous improvement initiativesTHE CANDIDATE
    The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar leadership role within domestic abuse, supported housing, or a related service.
    Strong experience supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse and/or homelessness
    Proven experience managing or supervising teams in a support setting
    Experience completing risk and needs assessments (e.g. DASH RIC)
    Strong knowledge of safeguarding, housing law, and domestic abuse legislation
    Experience of multi-agency working including MARAC and partnership forums
    Ability to deliver trauma-informed, person-centred services
    Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicleTHE CONTRACT
