This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-driven Finance Assistant looking to move beyond purely transactional work and gain exposure to costing, reporting, and business-critical financial analysis within a manufacturing environment.
The Role
As a Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes, working closely with the Finance Manager and wider team.
This is not your typical ledger-only position, this Finance Assistant role offers real variety and the chance to get involved in meaningful financial insight and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Managing Sales Ledger activities, including invoicing, allocations, and credit control
Supporting Purchase Ledger processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payments
Assisting with month-end duties including journals, reconciliations, and reporting
Contributing to costing and analysis relating to manufactured products
Supporting the production of financial reports, forecasts, and cashflow data
Working with ERP systems (including Sage X3) and supporting system/process improvements
About You
To be successful in this Finance Assistant role, you will:
Have experience across Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger
Be confident working with data and keen to develop analytical skills
Have a proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Ideally have exposure to ERP systems (training can be provided)
AAT study or similar would be beneficial but not essential
