How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: 3-4 axis CNC Miller
    Location: Kensworth, near Dunstable
    Job Type: Full Time
    Salary: Dependent on experience £18 -20 an hour
    Working Hours: 39 hours per week + overtime
    Start date: ASAP

    About the Role
    Our Client are an AS9100 accredited company, they have been providing forward thinking, modern precision engineering for nearly 50 years. They specialise in motorsport (F1), aerospace, and medical precision engineering.
    They are seeking an experienced CNC miller / CNC Machinist to join their established team. The ideal candidate will be seeking a career and growth position within our forever growing business. They will need to be a strong team player.
    This role will require a highly skilled individual that can work to a 3-4 axis milling level (anything above a bonus).

    Their communication skills should be excellent.

    Quality is at the core of what we do and therefore, the successful candidate will be expected to understand and instil our quality requirements.

    The successful candidate / CNC Miller will need to be dynamic and hands-on in their role to enable the demanding delivery requirements to be met.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    * Ability to program, set and run up to and including CNC 3-4 axis milling machinery (We use Haas via OneCNC or HyperMILL - experience on these platforms not essential)
    * 5th Axis skill level not required
    * Ensuring consistent quality
    * Ensuring delivery dates / internal milestones are met

    Qualifications and Skills

    * Read technical drawings
    * CAD / CAM essential
    * Extensive experience in milling is essential
    * Strong problem-solving skills
    * Strong communication skills
    * Strong organisational skills - forward thinking approach
    * Team player
    * Using CMMs
    * Computer-literate
