First People Solutions is recruiting for a leading consulting engineer based in the centre of Edinburgh.

This company has built a strong and stable presence across civil, structural, and infrastructure engineering, and are recognised as a well-respected consultancy. They've received multiple industry awards for sustainability, design excellence, and innovation, with several projects celebrated for their cultural and environmental impact.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to take a lead role within their Edinburgh office. You'll oversee a team of engineers and technicians, manage key infrastructure and development projects, and have the opportunity to progress toward Associate level.

The role will be predominantly office-based, as they are looking for a hands-on manager who can provide day-to-day guidance and support to a team of graduate engineers and technicians.

Your experience, background and approach to work will include:

Experienced Civil Engineer with strong technical and design capability
Skilled in Civil 3D and InfoDrainage is essential
Able to manage projects independently and deliver to high standards
Confident working directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams
Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers
Chartered or working toward chartered status
