How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your new company
You will be joining a well-established and highly respected manufacturing business operating across international markets. The organisation is family‑owned, financially stable, and well known for its supportive, friendly working culture. With almost 200 employees and a strong presence in their sector, they offer a close-knit finance team environment where individuals are encouraged to develop, learn new skills, and take real ownership of their work. The business operates a modern ERP system and provides an excellent platform for someone looking to grow within a stable, hands-on finance function.

    Your new role
As the Credit Controller, you will take full ownership of the company's credit control function, working closely with sales teams, customers and internal departments to optimise cash flow and minimise bad debt exposure. You will manage the sales ledger within the ERP system, ensure accurate invoicing, oversee credit insurance compliance and provide regular weekly and monthly reporting to senior finance leaders.Alongside your core responsibilities, you will also support wider areas of the finance team, including purchase invoice processing, bank reconciliations and providing cover during payroll cycles. This is a varied, hands-on role that offers broad exposure across the accounts department and the opportunity to build strong system knowledge and operational understanding.
    What you'll need to succeed

Experience in credit control (highly desirable), or strong motivation to develop in this area
A background in a commercial or industrial environment is beneficial.
Confidence using accounts software, Excel, and an interest in learning ERP systems
Strong attention to detail, professionalism and the ability to communicate clearly at all levels
A willingness to learn, support colleagues and expand your skills across wider finance tasks
Ability to remain calm under pressure, working methodically to resolve issues
Educated to A‑level standard (or equivalent), with GCSEs in English and Maths
Progress towards AAT or similar qualifications is advantageous but not essential. What you'll get in return

A varied and interesting role within a friendly, supportive finance team
Opportunity to gain broad experience across multiple areas of accounting
Training and development in ERP systems and wider finance processes
The chance to grow within a stable, family‑owned organisation with long-term prospects
Competitive salary and on-site working within a collaborative environmentWhat you need to do now
