How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    EC&I Technician

    Job Title: EC&I Technician

    Location: Manchester

    Salary: £42,500 - £48,500 (OTE £55,000+)

    Shift: Days (Mon-Fri)

    Job Role of the EC&I Technician

    BRAND NEW Exciting opportunity has just risen for a motivated EC&I Technician to work at a world-renowned COMMAH SITE company based in the Manchester area. This company has been investing millions back into their factory, installing new machinery and expanding the number of sites in the UK. The EC&I Technician will be required to cover maintenance and breakdowns. This is a great chance for a talented individual to take their careers to the next stage!

    You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and planned preventative maintenance on a range of fully automated production machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.

    Sector – Factory Maintenance

    Non-Negotiable Requirements of the EC&I Technician

    · Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation experience within a regualted industrial environment.

    · Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in fast paced industrial factory.

    Requirements for the EC&I Technician.

    · Hands-on electrical fault-finding experience.

    · Recognised electrical engineering qualification.

    · Experience working within a manufacturing environment.

    Desirable Requirements for the EC&I Technician

    · Experience working as a EC&I Technicianin the UK.

    · Experience with working on PLC’s and if you are able to fault find that would be advantageous.
