How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Hospital project - Kent
This leading Tier 1 main contractor has an immediate requirement for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a new refurbishment on a healthcare project in Kent.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be offered a flexible working role and manage your own working week between the site and remote working.
The project is a new building as part of an existing hospital and has a value of circa £25m so as a Senior Quantity Surveyor working on this hospital project, it is essential you to have worked for a main contractor on new build projects over £20m as a Senior Quantity Surveyor of which you will have had full commercial control of the projects. As this is a complex project in a live hospital, it would be advantageous to have worked on healthcare or life sciences projects.
You must be residing a reasonable commute from Kent or live locally. For this Senior Quantity Surveyor role, you must have a UK Quantity Surveying qualification.
At least 10yrs working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or applicants that feel they are capable of being responsible for a £25m hospital project and looking to make the step from Quantity Surveyor to Senior Quantity Surveyor are being considered.
If you have read the above description and feel you are suitable for the role and would like further information on this Senior Quantity Surveyor position or any other Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor positions, please contact Lee Kidd at our Guildford office.
O’Neill and Brennan values diversity and promotes equality, All individuals will be treated in a fair and equal manner and in accordance with the law regardless of gender, marital status, race, religion, colour, age, disability or sexual orientation
