Salary: £36,000 - £38, 000 + van and fuel card

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive damp and mould operative to join our team, delivering high-quality repairs and remedial works in occupied and void social housing properties. Working across Maida Vale, you will play a key role in improving residents' homes by addressing damp and mould issues and carrying out painting and decorating tasks to a professional standard.

Responsibilities

Carry out remedial works to address damp and mould issues in social housing properties, including cleaning, treating affected areas, and applying anti-mould coatings.
Undertake painting and decorating works internally and externally to a high standard.
Prepare surfaces (sanding, filling, sealing) before painting or treatment.
Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with health and safety regulations.
Communicate effectively with tenants to explain works and minimise disruption.
Maintain tools, materials, and company vehicles in good condition.
Accurately record all completed works using handheld devices or work orders.
Work as part of a wider maintenance team to deliver excellent customer serviceRequirements

Experience as a Painter & Decorator, with additional knowledge of damp and mould treatment in residential properties.
Experience working in social housing or similar environments is desirable.
Strong understanding of health and safety standards, especially in occupied homes.
Full UK driving licence (essential).
Relevant trade qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 in Painting & Decorating or equivalent) are desirable.Please note: you will be required to undertake a drug and alcohol test on your first day of employment.
