How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    3 Days in Dublin office p/w

    €145k - €155k base + 20% bonus + health + pension

    We’re partnering with a high-growth retail business to appoint an IT Director to lead their Ireland function at a critical stage of expansion and transformation.

    This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of the Ireland IT strategy and delivery, working closely with executive stakeholders locally and at Group level.

    The Opportunity

    You’ll take the lead in shaping and delivering the IT roadmap for a fast-paced, multi-site retail operation, driving innovation, improving customer experience, and ensuring robust, scalable technology across the business.

    This role offers a strong blend of strategy and hands-on execution, with real influence over investment, systems, and team development.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    Lead and develop the Ireland IT function, setting clear direction and standards

    Deliver key technology projects and system implementations end-to-end

    Partner with senior business stakeholders to align IT with commercial goals

    Drive digital innovation to enhance customer and in-store experience

    Own IT budgets, ensuring strong ROI and cost control

    Improve systems, processes, and reporting to optimise performance

    Ensure resilience, security, and continuity across a distributed retail environment

    Collaborate with Group IT on wider strategic initiatives

    What We’re Looking For

    Proven IT leadership experience (Head of IT / IT Director level)

    Strong track record delivering projects and leading teams in complex environments

    Commercial mindset with experience managing budgets and delivering value

    Background in cloud technologies (Azure or AWS) and IT service frameworks (ITIL)

    Experience in retail or multi-site environments is highly advantageous

    Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior level

    A hands-on, pragmatic leader who can operate at pace
