Our client, a leading premium consumer electronics manufacturer is seeking a Service Technician / Engineer to join its service and repairs team. This hands-on role focuses on component level diagnosis, testing and repair of high-end products, supporting both returned customer units and production rework.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair and test returned customer units to component level
- Repair, test and rework production units to finished goods standard
- Test and refurbish sub-assemblies and components for return to stock
- Record faults, repairs and outcomes accurately within internal systems
- Liaise with customer support, engineering and other teams to resolve issues
- Support running changes, modifications and continuous improvement activities
- Provide technical input to customer support where required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Service Technician / Engineer, ideally within audio or consumer electronics
- Proven ability to fault-find, test and repair electronic assemblies to component level
- Strong soldering skills and electronic/mechanical assembly experience
- Relevant qualification in electronic servicing (or equivalent practical experience)
- Good computer literacy (documentation, spreadsheets, service databases)
- Methodical approach with strong attention to detail
