Working Pattern: Hybrid - 1 day remote
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operational Accountant to join a dynamic finance team based in Liverpool City Centre. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about process improvement, stakeholder collaboration and financial control.You will play a key role in the day‑to‑day operational accounting function while supporting continuous improvement across finance processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain strong relationships with banking partners
Perform daily bank reconciliations, ensuring system balances are accurate
Oversee daily payment processes, ensuring compliance with agreed SLAs
Assist in preparing monthly reporting packs, including KPIs
Lead credit control activities, maintaining appropriate levels of aged debt
Support interest sharing processes and reporting requirements
Review and enhance operational accounting processes to improve efficiency
Contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems and procedures
Support finance‑related projects, ensuring cost control and complianceSkills & Experience

Proven experience in a strong financial control environment
Experience working with multiple banking platforms
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (advanced level preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Proactive, adaptable and solutions‑focused
