System Operations Assurance Analyst

What you’ll be doing as a Systems Operations Assurance Analyst

Working with large and varied datasets, including operational, alarm, event and SCADA configuration data
Interrogating databases, transforming data and helping improve ways of working across the business
Supporting control teams and stakeholders by gathering requirements and building dashboards and reports
Analysing data to identify trends, insights and opportunities for improvement
Presenting findings clearly and engagingly to support decision-making
Continuously improving reporting processes in line with digital best practice
Collaborating with different teams to ensure data solutions meet business needsBase location: Reading, Clearwater Court - Hybrid 
Working hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with hybrid working available

What you should bring to the role

Experience in a technical or analytical role, working with data and reporting
Strong knowledge of databases and programming languages such as  SQL and Python
Experience creating clear and engaging dashboards, ideally using Power BI
Knowledge of Databricks & Power BI and expertise in statistical languages such as R & data modelling & process automation would be advantageous, but not essential
Technical understanding of operational technology systems or utility operation.
A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage prioritiesWhat’s in it for you?

This role will be paid from £40,000 up to £50,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service. (plus bank holidays)
