How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Service
    Catrine Bank is one of our supported living services in East Ayrshire, Scotland. It includes three houses and two cottages. With the river Ayr running adjacent, Catrine village is a beautiful, remote and rural area with access to varied county walks and National Trust locations within easy access.

    About the Role
    A fantastic role that is responsible for driving operational excellence in the delivery of services, and employee performance. The Service Manager will support continuous improvement and contributes to service development through reflective practice and innovation, in alignment with organisational priorities. 

    What You’ll Do  

    Prepare services for inspection readiness & contribute to service redesign and transformation. 

    Lead safeguarding and risk management processes.

    Lead & develop staff through regular supervisions, appraisals, coaching & mentoring. 

    Manage recruitment, onboarding and retention strategies to build resilient teams.

    What We’re Looking For  

    Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of developing teams. 

    Ideally hold a QCF Level 5 or equivalent, or be willing to work towards this qualification.

    Resilience under pressure and ability to adapt to changing priorities. 

    This advert is for a full time position at 37 Hours per week.
