Car allowance An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a growing housing business. This is a hands-on, site-based role, leading a team of surveyors while providing effective commercial management and control of multiple projects. The role is varied and deadline-driven, so excellent organisational, prioritisation, and communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the financial and contractual administration of projects, ensuring the survey team delivers high-quality work
Provide effective commercial management and control of projects in line with contract terms and statutory requirements
Maximise project margins while minimising risk exposure
Support the delivery of business objectives and targets
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of surveyors to ensure performance and quality standardsSkills, Qualifications, and Experience:

Proven experience in quantity surveying, ideally within the housebuilding or construction sector
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, contracts, and statutory requirements
Excellent analytical skills and practical problem-solving ability
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
Customer-focused with a delivery-oriented mindset
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other IT tools
Full driving licenceThe ideal candidate will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.  You must be self-motivated, Professional and a collaborative team player with strong attention to detail.
