How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Warehouse Operative
    Burton Upon Trent,
    Rate: £14 per hour paye
    Monday–Thursday 7am–4pm
    Friday 7am–1pm
    (40 hours per week) Overtime Available
    6 month contract

    Situation

    We are seeking skilled Warehouse operatives to perform parts kitting tasks for an organisation that specialises in maintenance, refurbishment, overhauls and modifications of rolling stock components

    Your New Opportunity

    As a Warehouse operative, Parts Kitter, you will be responsible for gathering components, assembling them into predefined kits, applying accurate labels, and ensuring all kits meet quality standards before they move into production. You will also play an important role in maintaining a safe, organised and efficient working environment.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Assembling components into predefined kits
    Accurately labelling kits for easy identification
    Tracking inventory quantities throughout the kitting process
    Inspecting completed kits for quality and completeness
    Following all safety protocols and reporting hazards, near misses, accidents or incidents
    Supporting 5S activities and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly
    Mentoring trainees or apprentices when required
    Reporting any issues or job‑related concerns to the Site Support Supervisor
    The Candidate

    Essential

    Experience within the warehouse environment
    Ability to work to deadlines in a fast‑paced, changing environment
    Physically capable of manual handling and working in a busy, hands‑on environment
    Desirable

    Previous experience in a kitting, stores, or production support role
    Experience working within a safety‑critical environment
