How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    An excellent opportunity for an electrically biased service engineer looking to join a global leading engineering business who can offer extensive training.

    Are you an electrically biased service engineer with a background working on industrial systems? Would you like to work a global leading business?

    This company are a well-established, internationally recognised engineering business operating across Europe, Asia & the US, and manufacture and supply a range of industrial systems for a wide variety of applications.

    As a Service Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality technical support and driving the growth of the UK service function. This hands-on, customer-facing role combines fault finding, commissioning, and maintenance of complex systems. You'll be leading service projects end-to-end, and collaborating closely with engineering, sales, and operations to continuously improve service delivery.

    This role would therefore suit an electrically biased service engineer with a strong background working on industrial systems who is looking for a new challenge and the chance to join a global leading business.

    The Role:

    Service, maintenance & commissioning
    80% field & 20% workshop based
    Covering the UK
    Overnight stays required
    £40,000 - £45,000 + Door-to-Door & Overtime + Van + Excellent BenefitsThe Person:

    Electrically biased engineer
    Worked on industrial systems - control panels, PLCs etc.
    Strong fault finding & repair skills
    Happy to cover the UK & stay away as required
    Eligible for UK security clearance
    Commutable to Stoke area
