How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Dover, Kent

    Rate: £400 - £480 per day

    Duration: Ongoing Freelance

Are you ready to play a key role in the AMP8 cycle? We are seeking a high-caliber Project Engineer with either a Mechanical or Civils background to join a major water treatment project in Dover.

This is a critical position within a high-pressure, high-reward environment. We need a specialist who understands the unique rigors of the water sector and can drive the delivery of essential infrastructure upgrades. With an immediate start available, you will be integrated into the project team to oversee complex engineering workstreams.

    Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Standards: Ensure all works meet the stringent specifications of the water authority and environmental regulations.

Site Coordination: Act as the technical bridge between the design team and site operations to resolve complex engineering challenges.
Health & Safety: Maintain an uncompromising approach to safety, particularly regarding confined spaces and chemical environments typical of water treatment sites.
AMP8 Delivery: Lead and coordinate engineering activities specifically tailored to water treatment works and infrastructure.
Technical Management: Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical plant or civil structures (depending on your core discipline).

    Requirements

Water Sector Experience (Essential): Deep understanding of water industry standards, ideally with previous experience in AMP6 or AMP7 cycles.
Background: Proven track record as a Project Engineer with either a Mechanical or Civil Engineering focus.
