Senior Planner

Senior Planner – Havant – Manufacturing
We are partnered with a marine manufacturing company based in Havant; a company we have a proven track record in recruiting for. They have a well-known reputation within the marine industry and are part of a global group. You’ll be responsible for coordinating production plans across multiple areas, ensuring materials, capacity and schedules are aligned to meet customer demand.
The Job Role:
The Senior Planner will have some of the following responsibilities:
* Create and manage weekly production schedules across multiple departments
* Review order books and plan production to meet demand
* Identify and flag capacity constraints to the wider team
* Coordinate with procurement to ensure materials are available when needed
* Manage subcontractor demand and monitor delivery performance
* Track production progress and resolve delays proactively
* Drive improvements to planning processes and systems
* Maintain accurate data within the MRP system
* Work cross-functionally to ensure customer delivery dates are met
Requirements:
To be suitable for the role of Senior Planner, you will ideally have some of the following skills and experience:
* Experience in a planning role within manufacturing
* Strong Excel and general IT skills
* Exposure to MRP systems
* Confident communicator who can work across multiple teams
* Highly organised with strong time management
* Able to prioritise and think ahead in a fast-paced environment
