Are you an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong background in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions? Do you have experience working within the aerospace industry? If so, I’m currently working with a leading aerospace component manufacturer that is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team.
This role focuses on improving product quality by identifying issues, solving problems, and ensuring that the manufacturing processes meet the highest standards. You will also be directly involved in ensuring that First Article Inspections (FAIRs) are completed accurately and in compliance with aerospace industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead investigations into product quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
* Ensure robust problem-solving methodologies are applied to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
* Perform and oversee the completion of First Article Inspections (FAIRs) in accordance with aerospace industry standards.
* Work closely with engineering and production teams to support the seamless execution of corrective and preventive actions.
* Monitor product quality during the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to engineering specifications.
* Ensure that all corrective actions are tracked, documented, and fully implemented.
* Support audits and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
* Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance product quality.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
* Strong experience in problem solving and root cause analysis, with a track record of implementing effective corrective actions.
* Experience with First Article Inspections (FAIRs) and understanding of related aerospace standards.
* Familiarity with aerospace quality management systems, such as AS9100 or similar standards.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain.
* Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to resolving quality issues.
* Proficiency in quality tools and software used for inspections, analysis, and reporting.
Desirable:
* Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
* Knowledge of additional aerospace industry standards and certifications.
