How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A leading refreshment provider is expanding their business further and this is a very exciting time to be joining this team. If you are an experienced trainee level Vending Engineer who has a passion in the industry and is ready for that next challenge then you will be joining a supportive and growing team, who will invest in your future. This is a newly created role, and you will be covering the M25 corridor alongside an experienced team of engineers. They will invest in you, and you will feel part of an important London based team. They are offering a starting salary of £32k, however this will get reviewed once you start to develop your career with the business. You will be working Monday to Friday, regular days with no call out rota. All benefits are listed below.

    Responsibilities of the Vending Engineer

    Conducting Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on new and refurbished machines to meet company and manufacturer standards.
    Preparing machines for delivery, including configuration, testing, branding, and software updates.
    Performing professional on-site installations of hot drinks, snack, fresh food, and water machines.
    Commissioning and testing equipment, including payment systems, telemetry, and connectivity.
    Assisting with machine moves, relocations, and site surveys.
    Completing filter changes and other planned maintenance tasks.
    Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and electrical regulations.
    Accurately documenting installation records, reports, and handovers.
    Collaborating with the Project Management and Service Desk teams to coordinate schedules and resolve installation issues.
    Providing customer demonstrations and ensuring a smooth handover of equipment.

    Requirements of the Vending Engineer:

    Background as a Vending Engineer, or Coffee Engineer or Catering Equipment, however we will consider gaming, white goods, ATM Engineers
    City & Guilds qualified or equivalent in Electrical desired
    The ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and PDI checklists.
    Excellent customer service and communication skills.
    A full UK driving licence.
