The Role
As Procurement Manager, you will:
Lead Procurement Strategy
* Define and deliver a clear, forward-thinking procurement strategy aligned to business growth
* Embed robust governance, policies and best practices
* Act as the commercial voice of procurement at both operational and executive levels
Drive Global Sourcing Excellence
* Lead sourcing strategies across a global supplier base (Asia, Europe, Americas)
* Balance cost, quality, service and risk to protect supply continuity
* Proactively manage geopolitical, logistics and long lead-time risks
Own Indirect Spend & Commercial Value
* Take full ownership of non-stock spend, ensuring visibility, control and value
* Drive supplier consolidation, standardisation and contract coverage
* Partner with internal stakeholders to optimise service and facilities spend
Build Strategic Supplier Partnerships
* Lead negotiations and contract management with strong commercial rigour
* Develop high-performing supplier relationships focused on innovation and improvement
* Implement structured supplier performance management frameworks
Develop a High-Performing Team
* Lead, coach and grow the procurement team and demand planning capability
* Build commercial confidence, negotiation expertise and accountability
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance
Enhance Systems, Data & Processes
* Optimise procurement and planning processes within ERP/MRP systems
* Improve data visibility, reporting and decision-making capability
* Drive procurement maturity and scalable best practices
Ensure Risk, Compliance & Governance
* Manage supply chain, financial and regulatory risks
* Embed ethical sourcing, CSR and Health & Safety standards
* Ensure procurement activities are compliant, auditable and robust
Essential Experience
* Proven procurement leadership within a manufacturing environment
* Strong global sourcing and supplier management experience
* Track record in cost reduction, negotiation and risk management
* Experience with ERP/MRP systems
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment
