How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Maintenance Engineer

    Burton-on-Trent, Lichfield, Coalville, Hatton, Derby, Willington, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Tamworth, Leicester

    £40,000 - £48,000+ Mon-Fri (7am-5pm) + Company Vehicle + Multi-Site Role + Career Progression + Pension

    Outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated Maintenance Engineer or Engineering Supervisor looking to step into a senior, high-impact role where you will take full ownership of engineering across multiple sites and play a key part in shaping the future of the business.

    This is a growing and ambitious manufacturer offering the chance to build and develop maintenance systems from the ground up, giving you real autonomy to implement structure, improve reliability, and drive engineering standards across the organisation.

    In this role, you will lead the development of preventative maintenance strategies, moving the business towards a proactive and data-driven approach, while still remaining hands-on with fault finding and continuous improvement across production equipment.

    You will work closely with senior leadership, gaining exposure to business strategy and long-term planning, with clear opportunities to progress as the company continues to expand.

    This role would suit someone driven, career-focused, and looking to take the next step into a leadership position where they can make a lasting impact and build a best-in-class engineering function.

    The Role:

    Multi-site role across Burton-on-Trent and Leicester
    Develop and implement preventative maintenance systems
    Carry out fault finding, breakdown repairs, and improvements
    Work on a range of production machinery
    Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
    The Person:

    Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, or Engineering Supervisor background
    Strong mechanical skills with electrical fault finding ability
    Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, or similar
