How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We’re one of the UK’s leading distributors of cable management products within the Mechanical & Electrical sector, and due to continued growth, we need someone who can keep up with a fast-paced environment and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.
    This role would suit someone who is organised, quick to pick things up, and comfortable managing multiple tasks at once.
    What you’ll be doing:
    * Handling incoming calls and emails from customers
    * Processing orders accurately and efficiently
    * Preparing and sending customer quotes
    * Using our CRM system to track and follow up quotes
    * Managing returns and supporting goods processing
    * Raising pro forma invoices and general order admin
    * Working closely with customers to resolve queries
    What we’re looking for:
    * Previous experience in admin, customer service, or a similar role
    * Comfortable working in a high pressure, busy environment with competing priorities
    * Confident communication skills (phone and email)
    * Good attention to detail and basic maths skills
    * Comfortable using PCs, Excel, Gmail, and general systems
    * Reliable, organised, and able to work at pace
    What you’ll get:
    * A varied role where no two days are the same
    * A supportive and experienced team
    * Opportunity to grow with the business
    * Stable, full-time position with a well-established company
    * Salary between £28,000 – £30,000 depending on experience
    If you’re looking for a role where you can make an impact and be part of a growing team, we’d like to hear from you
