How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Employee Relations Analyst / Employee Relations Professional

    Location: Castle Bromwich, Birmingham

    Rate: £27.21ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £20.35ph on a PAYE basis

    Employment Type: Contract (To 4th June 2027)

    Hours: Standard 40 Hours Per Week

    Employee Relations work is focused on promoting a positive workplace environment through employee communication and engagement including:

    * Implementing measures to increase employee morale, motivation and satisfaction, while reducing turnover (e.g., employee engagement surveys, work lifestyle programs, on-boarding programs, diversity and inclusion programs and training, etc.)

    * Conducting training sessions for managers to improve employee relations and people skills

    * Managing employee relations issues (e.g., investigating employee and/or supervisor complaints regarding conduct, performance, or attendance, mediation between employees, monitoring diversity/equal employment opportunity program compliance, etc.)

    * HR-specific communications (e.g., employment terms and conditions, company codes of conduct, workforce reductions, etc.) Level: A Senior Professional (P3) applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typically include:

    * Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.

    * Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals.

    * Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex. Specialization Match Note: Employee Relations focuses on HR and employee issues. Incumbents responsible for business communications for employees should be matched to Employee Communications specialization in the Communications & Corporate Affairs job family.

    * The communications component of Employee Relations is specific to HR-related issues only.
