How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Buyer (Construction)
    £35,000 - £45,000 + Training, Progression + full benefits package

    An excellent opportunity for a Buyer with a Construction background to join a renowned luxury private housebuilder in a role where you will work on high quality developments within a progressive company.

    Have you got knowledge of Building Materials? Are you comfortable with placing orders and negotiating costs? Do you want to join a reputable business offering training and progression?

    This award winning housebuilder specialise in traditional new build housing developments from concept through to completion. They have a reputation for quality builds ensuring the highest quality is maintained throughout the design, build and handover process. Due to growth they're looking for a buyer to join their dynamic team.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has building material knowledge who is looking to be training and developed whist having long term progression.

    In this role you will work alongside two experience Buyers on exciting development programmes. You will liaise with suppliers to negotiate the best costs, order materials, arrange deliveries and speak with site teams to arrange deliveries.

    The ideal candidate will have Construction materials knowledge, ideally in a buying capacity who is looking to join a renowned housebuilder offering long term progression.

    The role

    Responsible for the ordering and delivery of Construction Materials to site
    Negotiating with suppliers to get the best rates
    Liasing with Site teams to arrange deliveries
    Producing purchase orders and dealing with invoicing
    The person

    Construction Materials knowledge
    Either a Construction Buyer or Builders merchants knowledge
    Proficient in Excel
    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    Looking for progression
    BBBH
