How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Toolroom Engineer (Training in CNC, Injection Moulding, Toolmaking)

    Factory based, Commutable from Blackwood, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Newport, Merthyr Tydfil, Bridgend, Cwmbran, Caldicot, Chepstow, Bridgend, and more

    3-Shift Pattern: Week 1: 6am-2pm, Week 2: 2pm - 10pm, Week 3-4: days, 8:30am - 4:30pm

    Are you from a CNC, Toolmaking, or Injection Moulding background looking to join a company who will give full investment and ongoing training to become a multi-disciplined toolroom engineer, working in a clean environment with no night shifts and plentiful optional premium-rate overtime to maximise your earnings?

    On offer is an opportunity to move into the medical manufacturing industry, working on a huge variety of products in a clean environment, allowing further development of your career through fantastic training into other areas of manufacturing.

    This company are a leading manufacturer who have sites across the UK. They have recently invested over £2 million in overhauling their automation equipment, opening new sites and making exciting acquisitions. Due to continued growth they are looking for a keen engineer to join their team.

    On offer is a role with great training to become multi-disciplined, where you will manufacture a range of plastic products for the medical industry, including manual machining, CNC, and injection moulding.

    This role would suit someone who has experience in one of the relevant disciplines, CNC machining, injection moulding toolmaking, manual machining / toolmaking or similar. Training in other areas to become multi skilled will be provided.

    The Role:
    *Monday - Friday, 37.5 hour week - 3-Shift Pattern: Week 1: 6m-2pm, Week 2: 2pm - 10pm, Week 3-4: days, 8:30am - 4:30pm
    *Manufacturing products
    *CNC, injection moulding, manual machining (toolmaking)

    *Any of the following: CNC, injection moulding, toolmaking experience
    *Interested in developing skills in other areas
