How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Landscape Architect/Garden Designer role itself which offers an engaging mix of creative design and hands-on project delivery. You will work on a variety of inspiring projects—from initial concept development through detailed design and final delivery—collaborating with a talented team of specialists. Your responsibilities include producing masterplans, planting schemes, and detailed drawings using Vectorworks, attending site meetings, and supporting projects at all phases. This role provides the chance to showcase your design talent and attention to detail within a friendly, professional studio environment—delivering beautifully considered landscapes for discerning clients.

    You will have

    To be successful as Landscape Architect/Garden Designer here, you will show a healthy mix of the following:

    Possession of a relevant qualification in Garden Design, Landscape Architecture

    Candidates who are qualified by extensive experience will also be considered

    At least two years’ experience working within a design studio environment

    Proficiency in Vectorworks, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Office

    Strong communication skills to effectively present ideas and collaborate

    Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail

    Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

    A proactive attitude with a genuine passion for landscape design

    A full UK driving licence for site visits and client meetings
