Quality Assurance Officer – Reactive Maintenance
Location: Stratford
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Officer to join a well-established organisation delivering reactive maintenance services within the social housing sector.

This is a desktop-based position focused on ensuring quality, compliance, and commercial accuracy across repairs and maintenance works. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving standards, improving operational performance, and ensuring all works are audit-ready and delivered in line with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out desktop quality assurance checks on completed work orders, including validation of SOR coding, supporting evidence, and compliance

* Conduct post-inspections and ensure any follow-on works are tracked through to completion

* Review and validate variations and SOR claims for both direct labour and subcontractors

* Monitor subcontractor performance, including cost control and materials usage

* Support operational teams with diary management, scheduling, and process improvements

* Maintain accurate and compliant documentation to meet audit requirements

* Analyse performance data to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement

* Provide technical and procedural support to internal teams and client representatives

Requirements:

* Proven experience within reactive maintenance, ideally in social housing

* Strong understanding of SOR coding, variations, and commercial validation processes

* Knowledge of compliance standards, including health and safety, asbestos awareness, and audit requirements

* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to review and challenge work orders effectively

* Good technical knowledge of housing repairs and maintenance
