How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Geography Teacher
    Location: Westminster
    Salary: £165 - £265 per day
    Start Date: May 2026
    Contract: Long Term until July 2026

    GSL Education London Branch are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced Geography Teacher to join a well-regarded boys’ secondary school in Westminster. This is a great role for a dedicated Geography Teacher who wants to inspire young minds and make a real difference in the classroom.

    As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop a strong understanding of the world around them. The school is supportive, welcoming, and focused on achieving excellent outcomes for all learners.

    This role is ideal for a confident and enthusiastic Geography Teacher who can bring energy, creativity, and strong subject knowledge into the classroom. If you are an experienced Geography Teacher looking for your next challenge, this could be the perfect opportunity.

    Responsibilities:

    Plan and deliver engaging lessons as a Geography Teacher across KS3 and KS4
    Assess, monitor, and report on student progress regularly
    Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
    Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of all students
    Encourage students to develop critical thinking and geographical skills
    Maintain good classroom behaviour and follow school policies
    Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the department

    Requirements:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
    Proven experience working as a Geography Teacher in a secondary school
    Strong subject knowledge in Geography
    Excellent classroom management skills
    Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities
    Good communication and organisational skills
    A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
