Our client is a leading national utility company working on water mains replacement capital work projects.To facilitate the operational support team, they are looking for a reliable Stores Person to ensure the smooth running of the yard and stores.
Salary to £42,000 | Company Vehicle + Fuel | Pension | 28 Days Holiday
Stores Person Key Essentials:
* As Stores Person your role will involve overseeing the day-to-day running of the yard and stores, ensuring efficiency and organisation at all times
* Managing incoming and outgoing materials, plant, and equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and availability
* Maintaining up-to-date stock records including pipe fittings and ensuring materials are readily available to meet site demands
* Coordinating deliveries and collections with suppliers and site teams
* Ensuring the yard is kept clean, safe, and well organised in line with HSE standards
* Carrying out basic checks and inspections on tools and equipment
* Supporting operational teams with material requests, logistics, and planning requirements
Stores Person Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Stores Person in the water sector (good knowledge of materials / pipe fittings, etc. is essential)
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
* Full UK driving licence with towing capabilities & Telehandler licence (Both Essential)
The hours of work are 6.00am to 4.00pm (Monday to Friday)
