Search Consultancy is looking for an all-round, Skilled Roofer to join our busy construction teams across Sunderland. We are partnering with leading volume house builders and specialist roofing contractors who require tradespeople capable of delivering watertight finishes at a fast pace.
If you are a Roofer who thrives in a productivity-driven environment and can move seamlessly from felt and battening to tiling, slating, or leadwork, we have immediate starts and long-term runs of work available now.

The Role

* Full Roofing Scope: Carrying out all aspects of roofing including tiling, slating, and installing roof membranes and battens.
* Component Installation: Fitting dry verge systems, ridge tiles, valleys, and ensuring all eaves ventilation is correctly installed.
* Flat & Pitch Work: Experience in pitched roofing is essential; knowledge of flat roofing systems (EPDM, GRP, or Bitumen) is a major advantage.
* Maintenance & Repair: Identifying and fixing leaks, replacing broken tiles, and ensuring the building envelope is fully secure.
* Productivity Driven: We need Roofers used to the speed of new-build sites who can work safely at height while hitting strict program deadlines.

Requirements

* Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Roofing Occupations is highly desirable.
* CSCS Card: A valid Blue or Gold card is mandatory.
* Experience: Proven track record in "house bashing," commercial projects, or high-volume residential roofing.
* Tools & PPE: Full professional kit (including hand tools, nail guns, and hammers) and standard 5-point PPE.
* Safety First: Must have a strong understanding of working at height regulations and site safety.
* Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
