We are currently supporting a secondary school in the Wigan area who are looking for a GCSE Drama Teacher to cover a maternity position starting in the new academic year. Within this role, you will be responsible for creating a dynamic and exciting learning environment that encourages pupil’s creativity through the delivery of the Drama national curriculum at KS4. The right candidate should be able to deliver effective behaviour management in line with the school policy and work to develop positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
This role will involve covering some media lessons.
* Deliver the Drama national curriculum at KS4
* Support pupils with SEND
* Promote positive behaviour
* Assist with faculty duties as required
* Adhere to school policies and procedures
Essential requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Right to work in the UK
* Experience working within a UK Secondary School setting
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Ability to deliver age-appropriate and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
* Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
