How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Supply Teaching Assistant – Flexible Work Across Harrow
    Harrow, London, UK
    £85–£100 per day
    8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Term Time Only)
    Start Date: 20/04/2026
    Job Type: Part Time, Temporary (Supply)
    Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications, and school expectations. Pay is aligned with Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.

    Teach Now is currently recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in the London Borough of Harrow. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced and adaptable support staff looking for flexible, rewarding work in education.

    Whether you’re seeking varied day-to-day placements or short-term roles, this position allows you to gain experience across different schools while maintaining control over your schedule.

    Your Role

    As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will:

    • Support teaching and learning across primary year groups
    • Assist with classroom activities and lesson delivery
    • Provide targeted support, including small group work and interventions
    • Offer 1:1 support, including working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
    • Adapt quickly and confidently to new school settings

    What We’re Looking For

    • Previous experience working in UK primary schools
    • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
    • Confidence supporting phonics, boosters, and interventions
    • Experience working with SEN pupils is highly desirable
    • A flexible, proactive, and reliable attitude
    • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred)
