Job Description
An established manufacturing business based in Basildon is currently seeking an experienced Leather Trimmer / Upholsterer to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled upholsterer looking for immediate work with competitive hourly rates.
The successful candidate will be responsible for trimming and upholstering leather components to a high standard, working to specifications and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Trimming and upholstering leather components
Measuring, cutting, shaping, and fitting leather materials
Working with foam, frames, and upholstery tools
Reading and working from drawings, patterns, or instructions
Ensuring finished products meet quality and safety standards
Maintaining a clean and organised work area
Working efficiently to meet production deadlines
Requirements
Previous upholstery or leather trimming experience is essential
Confident working with leather and upholstery materials
Good attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
Ability to use hand tools and industrial upholstery equipment
Reliable, punctual, and able to start work immediately
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
