The Role
As a Research Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the development and optimisation of CAR-T therapies within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and optimise in vitro functional assays (cytotoxicity, cytokine release, proliferation)
• Culture and expand primary human T cells using aseptic techniques
• Develop and validate flow cytometry panels for immunophenotyping
• Support high-throughput screening of CAR constructs
• Analyse experimental data using tools such as FlowJo and Prism
• Present findings to cross-functional R&D teams
• Maintain accurate records using electronic lab notebooks (ELNs)
• Contribute to lab operations (SOPs, reagents, equipment maintenance)
• Collaborate across R&D and translational teams
• Mentor junior scientists where appropriate
Requirements
Essential:
• BSc (2–5 years’ experience) or MSc (1–3 years’ experience) in Immunology, Cell Biology, or related field
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and immunological assays
• Strong experience in flow cytometry and data analysis
• Prior industry experience in biotech or biopharma
Desirable Skills:
• Experience working in cell therapy, immuno-oncology, or CAR-T research
• Familiarity with high-throughput screening approaches
