Search Consultancy is looking for an experienced Pre-Border to join our busy production teams in Ashington. We are partnering with leading manufacturing firms who require precision and pace in the initial stages of the production process. If you are an operative who thrives in a productivity-driven environment and has mastered the complexities of material preparation and machine operation, we have immediate starts and long-term runs of work available now.

The Role

* Preparation Focus: Setting up materials and components for the bordering process, ensuring all specifications are met.
* Quality Control: Inspecting fabrics and materials for defects before they move further down the production line.
* Machine Operation: Operating specialist machinery to prep and trim borders with precision and speed.
* Efficiency: Meeting hourly and daily production targets while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.
* Productivity Driven: We need operatives used to the rigours of manufacturing who can keep the line moving without compromising safety or quality.

Requirements

* Qualifications: Previous experience in a pre-bordering or textile manufacturing role is highly advantageous.
* CSCS Card: A valid Blue or Gold card is mandatory.
* Experience: Extensive experience in textile production, bordering, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
* Tools & PPE: Must have your own full 5-point PPE (Hard Hat, High-Vis, Steel Toe Boots, etc.).
* Reliability: Must be able to work as part of a busy production team to hit strict manufacturing deadlines.
* Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
