As a Teacher of Vocational Studies in Berkhamsted, you will teach across a small class size (2-8 pupils) and support learners in achieving qualifications such as BTEC, ASDAN and NCFE. You will lead by example and deliver engaging, well-planned lessons that inspire progress, independence, and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lessons in vocational studies to pupils across a wide age and ability range.
Plan, prepare and assess work in line with school policies, ensuring strong academic and pastoral outcomes.
Maintain excellent standards of behaviour in the classroom through consistent implementation of policy.
Create a welcoming, stimulating learning environment.
Develop schemes of learning and contribute to the strategic growth of vocational studies.
Act as an effective Form Tutor, supporting the pastoral needs of your group and maintaining strong communication with parents.
Work closely with colleagues, leadership and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for learners.
Manage day-to-day challenges with creativity, professionalism and a solutions-focused approach.What We're Looking For
