The Role:
We are currently recruiting experienced Steel Fixers to work on a National Grid 400kV substation project in Newark.
This is a great opportunity to get onto a live substation site, supporting in-situ foundation works within a substation building.
Key Responsibilities:
Steel fixing for in-situ concrete foundations
Working with pre-cut and bent reinforcement bar
Ensuring all works are carried out to specification and drawings
Maintaining high standards of health & safety within a live substation environment
Working closely with site teams to meet programme deadlinesRequirements:
Proven experience as a Steel Fixer on infrastructure or substation projects
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Experience working in live or controlled environments (highly beneficial)
Strong understanding of site safety and proceduresTickets:
National Grid Person
Any tickets relevant to steel works and fixingRates & Package:
£275/day
50 hours per week
Early finish every Friday
Overtime available
Approx. 6 weeks' workAdditional Information:
