How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Psychology Graduate - Mental Health Assistant

    A fantastic role has recently become available our highly regarded specialist school in Oxford.

    This incredible setting look after children who have been excluded from education or those who struggle to maintain a place in mainstream education. Many of these children also have co-existing issues such as social, emotional and mental health needs, with some also dealing with barriers to their learning. These students are facing trauma and neglect which negatively impacts their learning.

    The school need a mental health assistant to support their students in their day to day activities.

    The students that attend this school are primary and secondary ages. Each child has a personalised educational and health care plan and individual intervention plans designed to help them thrive. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will be part of ensuring that they are able to complete their academic work while also helping them navigate through their emotions. You will also play a part in helping them learn functional life skills, helping them be as independent as possible.

    Deliver specific interventions that have been designed with the student, their needs and goals in mind
    De-escalate any meltdowns and behaviour that may occur
    Help the children work through their big emotions
