Role Overview

We are currently recruiting an experienced Press Brake Operator for an immediate start to join an established manufacturing company based in East Lancashire. This is a day‑shift, temporary to permanent opportunity, suited to a capable operator with hands‑on experience in programming, setting, and operating press brake machines within a production environment, including work with steel components.

Key Responsibilities

Program, set, and operate CNC press brake machines
Produce components in line with engineering drawings and specifications
Select and set correct tooling for each job
Carry out first‑off and in‑process quality checks
Troubleshoot and resolve production or quality issues
Adjust programs and machine settings to maintain accuracy and efficiency
Work to tight tolerances and production targets
Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator
Experience in programming and operating press brake machines
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Experience working with steel or sheet metal components
Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently

Desirable (Not Essential)

Experience using AMADA press brakes
Familiarity with different press brake controls and tooling systems
