The Opportunity
An established and growing logistics organisation is seeking a Freight Forwarder / Logistics Coordinator to join its team based in Felixstowe. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to work within a fast-paced freight environment, managing shipments and supporting key client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinating the end-to-end movement of import and export shipments
Liaising with shipping lines, hauliers, customs agents, and customers
Preparing and processing shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs entries
Monitoring shipment progress and providing updates to clients
Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations and procedures
Handling and resolving any shipment issues or delays efficiently
Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain coordination
Good understanding of import/export processes (sea freight experience advantageous)
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
High level of attention to detail and problem-solving capability
Competent in Microsoft Office and logistics systems
Desirable Experience
Knowledge of customs procedures and documentation
Experience working within port or container operations
Relevant industry qualifications
