How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are currently looking for a Customer Service Coordinator to join our friendly ReadyMix team working at our Bridgewater office.

    Main Responsibilities 

    Reporting directly to the  Customer Services Manager the Customer ServiceCoordinator  plays a central role in coordinating and scheduling concrete deliveries, acting as the link between customers, concrete plants, drivers, and commercial teams. The role ensures that all concrete orders are delivered efficiently, safely, and on time to support day‑to‑day operations across the business.

    Responsibilities for this role will include: 

    Take incoming orders by phone/email and enter them accurately into scheduling systems
    Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding delivery times, issues, and updates
    Communicate quickly and clearly about delays, plant breakdowns, or scheduling changes.
    Work closely with plant teams, hauliers, transport teams, and commercial teams to maintain smooth operations
    Responsible for truck availability and working as a team to resource further haulage asrequiredto meet daily demands 

    This role is a Monday - Friday role on a rotating shift pattern (7am – 4pm and 8.30am – 5.30pm) and Saturday mornings when required (approx once per month) 

    The Ideal Candidate 

    The ideal candidate for the role of CustomerServiceCoordinatorwill have worked in a similar industry providing support to a wider team. Whilst industry experience is preferred it is not essential. If you have proven customer service or distribution / route planning experience in an office based environment, and you enjoy working as part of a team then this role may be of interest. 

    Suitable candidates for the role will have: 

    Proven experience working collaboratively within a team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard
    Good communication skills (verbal and written) and confidence to build rapport and positive relationships with customers and colleagues 
    Desire to work as part of a team and the confidence to challenge processes and behaviours
    Flexible and adaptable approach to work
    Ability to provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders at all levels
    Strong problem-solving skills combined with numeracy and analytical ability
    Commercially minded approach
    Determination to succeed and to drive and lead improvements
    Ambition to learn new skills and achieve your own personal goals, as well as business goals
    Working knowledge of Microsoft IT packages (SAP and CRM systems preferred)Why Tarmac
